During my participation in the 2025 “Jilin University–Cambridge University Tutorial Programme” from October 28 to December 1, I had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in the academic atmosphere of Cambridge while focusing on the Philosophy of Science and Technology. The programme was well-structured, combining lectures, supervisions, workshops, and office hours, which provided a dynamic and interactive learning environment different from what I had experienced in China.

Through this programme, I gained a solid foundation in the key theories and methodologies of the philosophy of technology. The supervision sessions were particularly helpful in developing my critical thinking and academic writing skills in English. Although the course content was more introductory than advanced, it served as an excellent starting point for deeper exploration in the future.

I also appreciated the cultural and academic exchange with peers and tutors, which broadened my international perspective and enhanced my adaptability in a cross-cultural setting. The programme organization was seamless, with supportive staff who ensured a smooth and enriching experience.

One minor challenge was a scheduling conflict due to an external academic forum, which required me to miss one session. Looking ahead, I hope future programmes could incorporate more advanced and cutting-edge topics to challenge students further.

Overall, this experience has strengthened my academic foundation, improved my language and research skills, and inspired me to continue pursuing philosophy in an international context. I am grateful for this opportunity and would highly recommend similar programmes to fellow students.
