Tutorial Programme 2023 (Online) at University of Oxford, UK (2)

I learned a lot from the tutor course at Oxford University. This was a very novel course experience. Compared with the traditional lecture course, we can have a deeper communication with the professor in the tutor class. Compared with passively accepting knowledge, we got more opportunities to output in the tutor's class and could express our own opinions and opinions. Even though these opinions may be naive, the atmosphere and enthusiasm of discussion gave me the confidence to express myself. In each class, we will read the relevant literature according to the course topic, ask a question that is confused in the process of reading the literature, and discuss it with the tutor in the following time. Our mentor, Dr Joseph Cunningham, led our way with his keen thinking and patience. Let us understand the loophole of thinking, repeat the process of conceptual evolution, and the conflict and tension between theories become clear under the guidance of the professor. In this way, the professor led us to review the important issues and basic concepts of ethics.

In addition, in this project, there were also courses on speech, writing, thinking and so on. In the relevant help courses, I have greatly improved my academic ability. Especially in the vivid writing class, the teacher provided us with very detailed help. Correcting my carelessness or mistakes in the paper also makes me feel the importance of logic in the foreign academic tradition, which is a new perspective of thinking for me.

It is my great honor to participate in this project. I would also like to thank my Alma mater, Jilin University, for supporting me to participate in it. This is a very precious opportunity to provide me with an international learning platform. At the same time, it will be a very unforgettable experience. I am very lucky to be able to end the last semester of my college life with the Oxford University tutor course funded by my Alma mater.
