My participation in the programme has been an exceptionally rewarding academic journey, profoundly shaping my understanding of the philosophy of mind. Throughout the four focused sessions, we engaged deeply with pivotal themes such as physicalism, imagism, representationalism, and the intricate problem of qualia. Each topic was presented not merely as a theoretical construct, but as a living debate, inviting critical reflection and active dialogue.

What made this experience truly distinctive was the tutorial-based pedagogical approach. Small group discussions fostered an environment where every voice could be heard, and every argument could be challenged. The mentors skillfully guided us through complex texts and contemporary disputes, encouraging us to move beyond passive reception toward constructing our own philosophical positions. Particularly enlightening were the debates on qualia which forced me to confront the limits of purely physicalist explanations of the mind.

On a personal level, this program significantly enhanced my ability to articulate nuanced philosophical ideas in English. Presenting arguments, responding to counterpoints, and collaborating with peers from diverse academic backgrounds have not only bolstered my confidence but also refined my cross-cultural communication skills. I learned to approach philosophical problems with greater rigor, patience, and intellectual humility.

Beyond the classroom, the program inspired me to view philosophy not as an isolated discipline but as a continuous conversation—one that bridges cultures, questions assumptions, and seeks understanding. I am deeply grateful to the faculty, my mentor, and fellow participants for creating such a stimulating and supportive intellectual community. This experience has strengthened my commitment to philosophical inquiry and has provided me with conceptual tools and inspiration that I will carry forward into my future studies and beyond.
