In this “Jilin University–Cambridge University” tutor programme, I enrolled in the strand dedicated to Greek philosophy. By combining Supervisions with Lectures, our instructor Christian Keime guided us through the doctrines of soul and happiness advanced by the two most influential ancient Greek thinkers, Plato and Aristotle. The teaching assistant Valerio Tanteri and other lecturers in charge of the common sessions introduced us to the basic standards and methods of academic research. All the faculty were both erudite and approachable, addressing every student’s questions with care. The programme has benefited me greatly; my sincere thanks go to Jilin University and Cambridge University for providing such a valuable platform for intellectual exchange.
