After about one month’s study, I have a completely new understanding of English academic writing and critical thinking.

Writing an English academic paper requires not only proficiency in the language but also critical thinking skills. The process of writing a paper involves several steps, such as choosing a topic, conducting research, outlining, drafting, revising, and editing. However, merely following these steps does not guarantee a high-quality paper.

To write a successful English academic paper, one must employ critical thinking skills, which involves analyzing and evaluating the information gathered during research. Critical thinking helps to identify the relevance, reliability, and validity of the sources used in the paper. It also involves evaluating the author's arguments, identifying any biases or assumptions, and considering alternative perspectives.

In addition, a strong English academic paper should have a clear and concise thesis statement that accurately conveys the purpose and main argument of the paper. The thesis statement should be supported by evidence and logical reasoning throughout the paper.

Furthermore, it is essential to use proper English language conventions, such as correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling, to ensure clarity and coherence in the paper. Additionally, citing sources accurately and using an appropriate citation style is crucial to avoid plagiarism.

Overall, writing an English academic paper requires critical thinking skills, a clear thesis statement, proper use of language conventions, and accurate citations. Developing these skills takes practice, and seeking feedback from peers or professors can also be helpful in improving one's writing skills.
