Biography

Chen Peng, male, born in May 1976 in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. Currently, he is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor of the Department of Sociology, School of Philosophy and Sociology, Jilin University. He got a Ph.D. in History and Postdoctoral in Sociology.

September 1994 July 1998: He studied in the Department of History, Northeast Normal University, and received a Bachelor's degree in History.

2005: He received a master's degree in History at the School of History and Culture of Northeast Normal University.

2008: He received a Ph.D. degree in History at the School of History and Culture of Northeast Normal University.

July 1998June 2005: He taught in the Department of Political Science and Law, Mudanjiang Normal University, and served as a teaching assistant and lecturer.

August 2010: He was the first scholar who entered the post-doctoral program of Sociology of Jilin University and cooperated with Professor Tian Yipeng. He left the program in July 2013.

Since August 2008: He has been teaching in the Department of Sociology, School of Philosophy and Sociology, Jilin University.

September 2009: He was selected as an Associate Professor.

2010: A master's supervisor.

September 2013: He was promoted to the professor (appointed in February 2015).

August 2014: He was a visiting scholar at Seoul National University in South Korea and engaged in research (visiting researcher) at the Asian Studies Center of Seoul University and the Kyujangkaku Institute for Korean Studies.
